Welcome to The Desert Mind!

Hello and welcome to my new endeavor, The Desert Mind.

With the help of the great people at 41 North Digital, and due to the deactivation of my Patreon page, The Desert Mind is designed to be an extremely unique and interesting collection of work about our project of Herpetoculture. For those who don't yet know, the TLDR regarding the deactivation of my Patreon: A questionable interpretation of their community guidelines led to them deactivating my page without warning to my supporters or me. The page contained 3.5 years of work. But not to worry! On to bigger and better things! This is an opportunity in disguise to make something more refined and easier to access for everyone.

Despite the name, this venue will not be exclusive to desert reptiles. I have articles forthcoming from guest writers in areas well outside my experience. My goal is to make this resource as useful and compelling as possible, and that is clearly not a 1 person job. I think you all will be very happy with the upcoming pieces.

I would also like to announce a new mixture of food that I’ll be launching soon. It’s called “Uro Forage”. This snack mix will be geared towards low-calorie and very high fiber snacking/foraging for desert herbivores and omnivores. My goal is essentially to have a complete Uromastyx (or desert herbivore) diet by combining my 3 products (Grit, Spice, Forage). Much testing will be needed, and such tests are planned and ready for this coming breeding season; some are technically already underway. I will document these tests and share them here with all of you.

In the meantime, please be patient with me as I re-upload my already written articles, and while new work and new projects make progress. I am still learning this new platform, so if any of you need anything or have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at info@aridsonly.com

Thank you all so much!

Just wanted to say I’m a big fan of your work. I am about a year and a half into my reptile journey. The Animals at Home Network were part of this from the beginning. Yourself, Roy, Dylan and the various guests have shaped my keeping in more ways than you could know. I have listened to all the episodes at least 3 times a piece. Thanks for all you do and I’m looking forward to all that is to come.
